Frequently asked questions
Working with an interior designer gives you access to professional expertise that goes far beyond aesthetics. From interior architecture, space planning, and layout design through to FF&E specification, lighting design, furniture selection, and final styling, an experienced interior designer ensures every element of your home works together seamlessly.
A well-designed interior not only enhances the look and feel of your space but also improves functionality, flow, and everyday living. By translating your vision into a cohesive and practical design scheme, an interior designer helps you make confident decisions, avoid costly mistakes, manage design details effectively, and create a home that is both beautiful and tailored to your lifestyle.
It’s never too early to involve an interior designer in your project. We always recommend getting in touch with us at the same time as your architect so we can collaborate from the very beginning. By working closely alongside your architect from day one, we can ensure the interior design scheme are considered cohesively throughout the entire design process. This integrated approach helps create a more functional, beautifully resolved home while avoiding costly design changes later on.
Yes, there is a charge for our initial face to face meeting. The consultation is a dedicated, in-depth session designed to give your project the attention it deserves from the very beginning. This is not a brief introductory meeting, but a valuable working consultation where we assess your space, discuss your vision in detail, and provide early professional insight based on our expertise in interior architecture and design.
A fee is applied to reflect the time, preparation, and on-site expertise involved, as well as the tailored advice and direction you receive during the visit. It ensures we can offer meaningful, considered guidance rather than generic recommendations, helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and a strong design direction from day one.
The fee will be discussed during our initial phone call regarding your project.
Yes, we offer project coordination services to manage contractors, suppliers, and installation on site to ensure the design is delivered accurately and to a high standard.
FF&E stands for Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment. It includes all the moveable elements within a space such as furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, and decorative accessories.
If you don't yet 'know your style', do not worry. We work closely with you and are here to guide you with our years of expertise. 'Style' is a fluid term that develops with time and with you and the space you're in.
At Fawn Interiors, we believe 3D visualisation is an invaluable part of the interior design process, allowing clients to fully understand and connect with a proposed scheme before work begins. We bring your space to life in detailed 3D, enabling you to explore the room from different perspectives and gain a true sense of the layout and design. It’s an effective way to visualise spatial planning, materials, lighting, colours, and finishes with confidence.
We can also produce high-quality CGI renderings for client presentations, planning applications, and marketing purposes where required.
Interior design fees can vary depending on the scope, size, and complexity of your project, as well as the interior design services required. At Fawn Interiors, we discuss your requirements in detail during the initial interior design consultation before providing a tailored fixed-fee proposal. Our bespoke interior design packages are carefully structured to give clients a clear understanding of design costs, key deliverables, project timelines, and exactly what to expect throughout the process.
Whether you require residential interior design for a room, multiple rooms, full home renovation design, or furnishing and styling services, we ensure complete transparency with no hidden costs or unexpected surprises.
